About Sarah
To her creative process on set and behind the camera, Sarah brings a lifetime of diverse experiences. She’s worked in the nonprofit sector and at the grassroots level in fundraising and direct action to help advance the rights of marginalized populations, especially the LGBTQ+ community and exploited animals. Like acting, writing, and producing, that work is also about storytelling and amplifying the voices that most need to be heard.
On top of event producing and action organizing, Sarah is an entrepreneur who launched and ran her own lost pet recovery service and helped run her wife’s coffee roasting business for years.
She brings the same compassion for others and entrepreneurial spirit into her work as a creator. Even when hired as “just” an actor, she is known for doing what needs to be done to get and keep the project running. She’s an authentic collaborator who always finds a way to learn new skills (like screenwriting) to create opportunities, and put her existing skills (like fundraising) to ensure the opportunities have the needed resources to grow.
Sarah is also known for carrying her dog Joanie around the neighborhood when she gets too tired, and for her wicked addiction to oranges.
